As having been an intern at SURFING Magazine in 2008-2009, I’m pretty disappointed in this ad… With all of the hard work women have put forward in order to be taken seriously in action sports…this is simply another slap in the face to female athletes everywhere. GET WITH IT SURF INDUSTRY.

Dear full moon,

Between still having no voice from class on Wednesday, getting in a car accident literally 3 blocks from my house yesterday, receiving less than favorable results from The Great American Songwriting Contest on Tuesday, and repeatedly being told wrong directions during LA rush hour traffic this afternoon..I’d just like to say that you’ve somewhat jaded my work week.

also: F U. I got BETTER THINGS TO DO. I’m having fun this weekend.

BEHOLD. In this first slide, we have writer/comedian/tv host Conan O’Brien. Well over 6 feet tall and of proud Irish Catholic decent, Conan by no means is a quintessential california hippy, surfer bro, or beach bum. In fact, he’s quite scared of the sun due to his fair complexion. A graduate of Harvard University known for his signature “ginger flip” hairstyle, he is a blatant democrat who does not participate in yoga, raw veganism or the use of words such as DUDE, GNAR, HELLA, or GROOVY (..well, maybe an occassional “groovy.”) Fun fact: In 2011, Conan was ordained as a minister by the Universal Life Church in order to legally be able to perform same sex marriages. He is happily married to his beautiful wife Liza, who is also a writer. Conan is alive and well living in his $10.5 mansion in Brentwood, Los Angeles…..IN CALIFORNIA.
